Home at last!!!

Finally....all 3 babies are home!

We brought Daniel & Kathryn home on Saturday afternoon. Anna had to stay an extra night because they took some tests and wanted to get the results back before they sent her home. So, we made our last trip to the NICU this afternoon to pick up Anna and bring her home. What a great feeling to finally have them all home! And, Kevin is thrilled to not have to make another trip to the hospital - he has been there every day for the last 3 months. The first 2 days home with the babies have gone well. We are trying to figure out a schedule, but we're getting there. I had class this morning, so Kevin took the overnight feedings so I could get a little sleep. Of course, I still got up to check on them and cuddle with Daniel for a little bit when he was crying. They all came home with apnea monitors and we have not had any episodes. The monitors went off a few times yesterday but Nanny figured out that we did not have the leads on in the correct spot, so they were false alarms. Since she fixed them, the monitors have not gone off at all. We have a follow up appointment in May to see how long they will need to stay on the monitors.
It is safe to say that the babies have taken over the house and we love it. There is stuff everywhere! Baby Papasan seats (which they love), swings, diapers, burp cloths, bottles, laundry, diapers, bottles, and more diapers and laundry. We really need to find a place for everything. We attempted the Becklets first photo shoot tonight and it was so cute. I think it was the first of many photo shoots that just don't work out the way the photographer expects.

Wait a minute! You let Nanny fix the electronics and you think they are working properly?? That Nanny, from soda bread to infant apnea monitors, she can do it all.
