We had a follow up appointment yesterday afternoon to see how things were going since they sent me home. The doctor checked the babies' heartbeats (all good) and my cervix (not so good). My cervix is now 100% effaced and 1cm dilated. So, he sent us immediately over to Labor & Delivery to be readmitted. I have been on the contraction monitor (TOCO) since we got here and contractions are under control. I spoke with my doctor this morning and it sounds like I will be here until the babies are born, which could be tomorrow or 4 weeks from now. It all depends on if my water breaks or not. If baby A's water breaks then the babies will be delivered within an hour. If it does not break, they will let me stay on bedrest as long as I can. We will be 30 weeks on Friday which is very exciting.
Sunday was Kevin's birthday so it was nice to be home to spend the day with him. Of course, I couldn't do anything but stay in bed or on the couch, but it was still nice to be home with him. Thanks to Mollie and Jeff for doing some shopping for me so that I could give Kevin a birthday gift. I got him a 37" flat screen TV which fits perfectly into our TV armoir. I figured since this is the last year I can spend some money on Kevin, I would splurge a little. He certainly deserves it for all that he has done and continues to do for me and the babies!
