Lots of fun

The Becklets are becoming more and more aware of what is going on around them. They are all of a sudden interested in the mobiles above the swings and the mirror and hanging rabbit above the baby papasan seats. It is so cute to watch them entertain themselves and listen to them try to laugh. They are smiling all the time now and have to be just days away from laughing. You can tell they are really close to getting that first chuckle out.

I am going stir crazy in the house. It is so nice outside and we are somewhat stuck inside. The babies cannot yet be in the sun and cannot wear sunscreen yet, so sitting outside is out, unless we sit in the shade. We took them out in the backyard one day last week around dinner time and just sat on a blanket in the grass. Daniel and Kate didn't seem to mind it, but Anna wanted nothing to do with it and fell asleep on Kevin's chest. I just ordered a triple stroller so once we receive that, I will be able to take them for a walk on my own. Yeah!! When it gets really bad, like all 3 are screaming and nothing seems to help, I load them into the minivan and head off to Dunkin Donuts for an iced coffee. It is my little addiction right now, but the ride always makes them fall asleep and the coffee helps me get through the day until Kevin gets home. I also take them to visit Kevin at work. OK, really we visit with Fran, Mary and Cheryl who love holding the babies and playing with them. It gives me a break from singing Wheels on the Bus or If You're Happy & You Know it.

Here are some pics of tummy time from today.

Anna - "What do you want me to do, Mom? Pick my head up?! No thanks, this feels good just like this, I think I'll stay like this."

Daniel - "I don't want to do this!! Please, just look at my baby blue eyes. Can't you tell, I'm tired of this?"

Kate = "Is she looking? Tell me when she's looking. I want to make sure she sees that I can do this."
