Home from the beach

We had a great time at the beach. Since the babies cannot be in the sun yet, we spent most of the time at the house, but we did manage to take a few walks on the boardwalk and Kevin was able to get to the beach with the other kids. The weather was perfect - really hot but a nice ocean breeze. The beers were especially delicious - a big thank you to Aunt Katie for introducing me to Becks light (only 64 calories per bottle)! The babies, unfortunately, caught a cold somehow before we left for the beach. Daniel had it first and then Kate, followed by Anna. The first couple of days were the worst with runny noses and slight fevers, but they managed to remain pleasant for the most part - lots of smiles and giggles amongst the many boogers.

We had an appointment with the neurologist this morning and everything looks great with the Becklets. They are behaving developmentally like a 3 - 3.5 month old which is great considering they are only 2.5 months adjusted (based on our original due date). He does not feel that he needs to see them again. Daniel and Anna passed their BAER hearing tests. Kate showed a little hearing problem in her right ear, but he checked her today and felt that she was fine. To be sure, we will have their pediatrician test her hearing again in a few months. We are appointment free for a couple of weeks until we see the pediatrician August 12th for their well visit.
