We reached the 24 week mark this week. This was our first goal and we made it with no major problems! At our last ultrasound, all 3 babies were measuring right on track. Our boy was measuring 1 lb 4oz and 11 1/4" long, the girls were measuring 1 lb and 1 lb 1 oz and were both 10 1/4" long. They measured all of their bones and organs and everything looked great. I am still working but it takes me much longer to get into the building and by the time I get home, I am exhausted and swollen. I will be stopping work on Friday, January 25th and I am looking forward to being able to rest when needed.
Scott was eager to welcome me into the 200 club at Christmas and Kevin was thrilled this week when I reached his weight. I am not concerned though. I know that all of the weight I am gaining now will help me to keep these babies in me a little bit longer. It is already getting more difficult to eat as much as I have been eating.
We have 2 appointments on Tuesday. The first is with Dr. Rawlinson, our perinatologist. It should be a short appointment. He is just checking to make sure nothing is changing with my body that would indicate preterm labor. Our second appointment is with Dr. Hamm, our OB/GYN. Just the usual check up where he will listen to the heartbeats and send me on my way. We have to wait until February 6th for the next ultrasound.
