Finally, an update!

I'm sorry that it has taken so long for me to update the blog. We have had a very busy couple of weeks. I finally finished my MBA and graduated on Saturday! We had a party Saturday evening to celebrate my graduation along with Katie's, who also received her Masters degree. It was also a chance for some people to finally meet the Becklets. We had a great time but we were all exhausted from all of the partying. Here is a picture of me with my friend Kristen along with Daniel and Kathryn at our graduation.

The Becklets had their 8 week appointment with their pediatrician last week.

Daniel weighs 9lb 8oz. He is the most vocal of the 3 and loves to be held and cuddled. If he is awake and not being held, he will let the whole room know about it.Anna (first picture below) weighs 6lb 12oz and is catching up to her sister Kathryn (second picture below) who weighs 7lb 4oz. The girls are looking more and more alike as they grow. Kathryn is our mellow child. She is very patient and will sit quietly and wait her turn. Anna is still the fighter, always proving that she may be smaller but she can do the same things as her brother and sister. She will even eat more than them at times. She'll catch up to them in no time.
We also had an appointment with the apnea clinic last week. All 3 babies came home on apnea monitors and this appointment was to go over the data from the monitors and adjust their caffeine dose, if necessary. Daniel is doing really well so he was taken off of the caffeine. He will stay on the monitor when sleeping or in the car seat for at least another month to make sure he has outgrown any apnea. The girls are still having some episodes of apnea and bradycardia (low heart rate) so they will remain on the caffeine and the monitors for at least another month. Their caffeine dose was increased to adjust for their growth. They seem to be doing better on the higher dose of caffeine. We are hoping that the girls also grow out of any apnea episodes soon.

They are sleeping pretty well. They usually eat around 11pm and then again around 4am. Some nights they will go a little longer and other nights they are up a couple of times. Kevin and I usually split the feedings at night. One of us will do the 11pm and the other will get up for the next feeding.
My first Mother's Day was wonderful! We all went to brunch with Kevin's parents, Mollie, Jeff, Katie and Mary and then I took a 2 hour nap. We also went to a movie and dinner while Mollie & Jeff watched the babies. It was a great day.
Finally, the decision has been made that I will not be going back to work. I am going to stay home with the babies at least for the summer and then we will decide whether or not I need to find another job. I'm looking forward to hanging out with them all summer!
